Atomic and Molecular Diagnostic Processes in Plasmas

Partial Photoexcitation-Autoionization

Inner-shell final-state resolved partial Photoexcitation-Autoionization data for all states of the initial ground complex are archived according to the ADAS (Atomic Data and Analysis Structure) adf38 file format. Data are available in both LS- and intermediate- coupling. The inner-shell data initial states are a subset of those computed for the Updated Opacities (which considered excited initial complexes as well) but cover more elements (all up to Zn, plus Kr, Mo, Xe) and in more detail (using non-orthogonal relaxed orbitals). They provide provide the decay pathways following inner-shell ionization of the stage below, e.g. by photoionization. They also provide the contribution from Photoexcitation of the core (PEC) resonances to Photoionization of the same ionization stage. The sequences refer to the electron target, i.e. the final-state ion. Here is the key to decoding the adf38 files names.
