This README provides a brief indication of the job of the Utility codes present in this directory, and which can make life easier. See comments at the beginning of each code for details of usage. These next 4 codes post-process rate files to ADAS standard forms. adasdr: writes ADAS adf09 files for DR. adaspe: writes ADAS adf38 files for photoexcitation (autoionization). adaspi: writes ADAS adf39 files for direct photoionization. adasrr: writes ADAS adf48 files for RR. These next 4 codes manipulate standard ADAS electron-impact adf04 files, DW & PWB which can be generated by AUTOS. adasexj: convert a type 1 or 5 (omega) adf04 file to type 3 or 4 (upsilon) adf04. adf04cmp: compare two adf04 files. adf04mrgr: replace the radiative data in one adf04 by that from a second. adf04mrgup: supplement one adf04 file with levels and upsilons from a second. Misc. burg: (re-)convert collision data from xtrct_adf04 to Burgess reduced form. dla_abs:determines moments of line absorption. dla_emiss:determines moments of line emission. mdrcs13: the historic general post-processing code (no longer supported - use adasXX). mdrgf6.f: evaluates Burgess General Formula. width: determines radiative & Auger widths and fluoresence & Auger yields. width_pa: as width, but partial Auger yields as well. xpeppi: combines resonant and direct X-files from adaspe/pi. xtrctpi: extract a partial/total PI cross section from adf39px/tx file. xtrct_adf04: extract a transition from a standard adf04 file, type 1, 3, 4 or 5. _____________________________________________________________ | /\ | /| | Prof. Nigel R.
