Unlocking the adf09 file naming convention
A typical adf09 file name is:
jc00#li_fe23ic23.dat
which can be broken down as follows:
jc:
these are the initials of the person who carried-out the calculation.
00:
is the two digit year code for the data class (here 2000) NOT the date of calculation.
li:
denotes the isoelectronic sequence of the electron target (Li-like).
fe23:
denotes the element and charge state (of the electron target, again).
ic:
denotes the coupling scheme, intermediate or LS.
23:
denotes the n-shell core excitation (2->3, here).
The file will normally contain data for capture to all n up to 1000
for the initial ground complex and all core l-subshells;
e.g. 1s22s + e- ->
1s23pnl ->
1s22snl + γ .
