Q. What does "AS" mean?
A. It is an abbreviation for AUTOSTRUCTURE, analogous to SS for SUPERSTRUCTURE.

Q. Why are some radiative rates negative?
A. The sign of the matrix element, before squaring, is appended to the rate.

Q. Where has the PARAM file gone?
A. As of v27, AS no longer requires, or uses, a PARAM file.

Q. How do I set the dimensions without a PARAM file then?
A. You don't. AS (re-)allocates all memory as it needs it.

Q. The source code on the web has always been a ".f" file but now it is .f95,
   How do I get a ".f" version?
A. As of v28, .f95 is preferred, but it is backwards compatible, so:
   cp asdeck.f95 asdeck.f

Q. What is the difference between asdeck.f95 and asdeck29.f95, say?
A. None, they are symbolically linked. But the main AS web page points to
   asdeck.f95. If you drill down to a particular version you see asdeck29.f95, say.

Q. I type aslm.x <das as instructed but I get "command not found".
A. Try ./aslm.x <das as the current (dot ".") directory is likely not in your path.
